Qadri-led long march reaches Gujjar Khan

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Thousands of supporters of the Tehreek Minhajul Quran (TMQ) led by Dr. Tahirul Qadri continue their march on Islamabad, SAMAA reports.

The march comprising hundreds of cars, buses, mini buses, motorcycles and other vehicles has reached Gujjar Khan. The marchers are expected to reach their final destination of Islamabad by 7pm.

On the other hand, preparations are in full swing in Islamabad, where marchers will finally stage a sit-in.

The march, aimed at electoral reforms and installation of a caretaker set-up, is continuously on the move. Welcoming camps have been set up everywhere for the marchers.

In addition, people from Rawalpindi and Islamabad have also started to gather at Blue Area of Islamabad.

Long march organizers accused the Islamabad administration of creating hurdles to sabotage the arrangements being made to stage a large public meeting.
